Today I will be writing about a game our family has been playing over the past few weeks. This game (Scattergories) is fun and easy to use but challenging to play. A round of playing can take about 20-30 minutes or you can play several rounds and play for a couple of hours if you want. We have done both. Once we were getting ready to leave the house and only had about twenty minutes and we played a round before we left. The game for those of you who have not played yet is basically a pretty easy concept. You have a list of categories (12 to be exact) and you have a dice that you roll which has most of the alphabet on it. Whatever letter you roll, that is the letter you have to find a word to match with each category. For example if the category was "Things that fly" and the letter rolled on the dice was a "B", you could write down bird or buzzard or balloon. But the trick is to be original because you only get to score a point if no one else has that word on their list. So that's a quick explanation of how to play. So we were playing the other night and we came up on the category of "candies" and the letter was "I". Someone wrote down "Icebreakers" and a vote wa taken that this was not a candy but a gum. So, I wanted to ask you Scattergory players out here what do you think? Is this gum a candy or something else? And if something else, what is it? I know, I know...silly question. But hey, thats my entry for today and Im sticking with it !
