Okay...So here's the deal. The other evening my son Daniel, came over for dinner with his girlfriend Jessica. While we were waiting to eat we somehow got on the subject of how some of us liked wearing shoes and some liked wearing sandals. I have always had an aversion to walking around sock-less/shoe-less. My daughter and Jessica were saying how they like being barefoot or wearing sandals because their toes are free. They said they had "Free-Toes!" I said I cant walk around barefooted cause it bothers me. I guess that all started when I was young and I had a series of incidents over a short period of time. One day I was outside barefoot and stepped on a bee that actually stung me. Not much longer(maybe a few weeks) I was outside barefooted and stepped on a nail which went straight up into my foot. Then maybe within another a few months I was outside barefooted and stepped on broken glass which I didn't see in the grass. Enough was enough. No longer was I going outside without shoes and that kinda turned into never walking around inside without at least socks on. I don't know, it only seems logical too me. So while my daughter and Jessica think shoe-less is the way to go I say no way. Socks and shoes for me. No "Free-Toes" as far as I'm concerned. They must be wrong. After all, they both also think gum is a candy!
